Alden Lane Nursery is a full service garden center with a wonderful selection of plant materials and garden accessories. Our centuries-old valley oak trees provide the perfect backdrop for the beautiful quilts. Each morning of the show the quilts are hung from lines that go from tree to tree. Join us for the weekend and experience this wonderful outdoor quilt show.
This year's guest artist will be Laura Wasilowski. Laura is a textile artist, author, teacher and creator of hand dyed fabrics and threads. She has an undergraduate degree in Costuming from the College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph, MN and a Master of Art degree in Fiber from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL. She is the owner of ARTFABRIK. Laura combines vivid fabrics wand whimsical stories to make pictorial art quilts. She uses colorful, hand-dyed fabrics that are inspiring. Her pieces often chronicle her life. Each wall piece is of her own design, fused appliqué and machine quilted.
This year's show will offer several opportunities to spend time with our guest artist, Laura Wasilowski during evening lectures, classes and mini walking tours.
Quilting in the Garden Show is FREE, but we encourage you to register for these special opportunities.
All classes will be held at Alden Lane Nursery.
From "The Quilt Show with Ricky Tims and Alex Anderson" Alex will be joining us for the weekend. Come and meet a TV personality and quilter extraordinaire. Alex will be here on both Saturday and Sunday. Look for class offered by this incredible quilter on the Thursday before the show. You can visit with Alex on Saturday or Sunday during the show.
A variety of quilting, craft and food vendors will be available to fill creative appetites. We never forget the fudge!
In a special area for budding beginners you can discover the joys of quilting. Amador Valley Quilters Guild is offering a special project for first time quilters and kids. Warning: this activity can be habit forming!
Admission is FREE. Event hours are 9:00am to 4:00pm. Alden Lane Nursery is located at the corner of Holmes and Alden Lane in South Livermore. Parking is FREE, carpooling is recommended, as parking is limited.

On Sunday, September 27th only, Bring your scissors, pinking shears, all your quilting tools and meet Mark from Absolutely Sharp.
Mark owns the company and is great at getting all your tools ready for use. He can sharpen anything you need for a very nominal fee, (fee range from $1 and up) this is on Sunday only, September 28th.
Don't miss this chance to get all your tools in tip top shape for all your sewing and quilting needs.
