Gardening for Life
Adaptive Gardening Saturday - April 18th - 10:30-11:30am
A lifelong love of gardening should not have to end as mobility and other physical issues arise with age. Low stamina, poor balance and limited mobility are the biggest impacts of aging and continued enjoyment in the garden may diminish if it is difficult to get around or if the work becomes too vast.

Toni Gattone is a gardener, a teacher, and small business owner. She fell in love with gardening at an early age and became so passionate about gardening she left her corporate job in 1990 to start her Manufacturers Representatives business. They sell home décor, garden and gift products to retailers throughout California.

In 2011 she joined the Marin Master Gardeners, where she discovered a new community of like-minded people who love nothing better than to spend time in a garden… any garden… any time. She served for two years as Co-Chair for their Public Seminars Committee and gave numerous talks to her local community, sharing her enthusiasm to spread the word on Edible Landscaping and Growing Edibles in Containers.

Toni lives in Larkspur where she and her husband are adapting their traditional, ornamental front yard into a productive edible landscape they will enjoy for years to come.
